At just 29 Aleyce Simmonds is already a ten-year veteran of the industry. Her debut single Mighty Mighty Love became the most played country song on Australian Commercial radio and her two full-length albums have received popular and critical acclaim, reaching the Top 10 of the official Australian Record Industry Association Charts.
Throughout her career so far, Aleyce has drawn comparisons with artists as diverse as Linda Ronstadt, Shania Twain and, most commonly, Emmy-Lou Harris. With full band, Aleyce’s crowd-pleasing live show blurs the boundaries between contemporary country, old-school country and classic rock. In solo mode, Aleyce, her guitar and her phenomenal vocal prowess are a mesmerizing combination. Aleyce lives for, and on, the road. She is a regular on the festival circuit and constantly tours major towns and remote locations, both solo and with her band.
In September 2014, Aleyce toured the UK, headlining the YeeHaw UK Festival and performing London and regional sideshows. A month later she was on the road in Europe again, as part of the Upside Down tour with Jack Henderson and Sam York. Aleyce received her 5th Golden Guitar nomination in 2015, just two months after winning Female Artist of the Year at the Australian Independent Country Music Awards for 2014. In Oct 2015 - Aleyce was named Australian Independent Artist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and awarded Best Country Single of the Year.http://
